One of Melissa's co-workers recommended a "local" dumpling place for us to try - just off the escalators. The door contained a sticker from Time Out guide books... a good sign. 
Upon entering, there were just locals sitting on small chairs and small tables, the ones you would expect in a kindergarden class room. The menu had everything you would want...as long as it is dumplings you are craving. We ordered the won tons, fried and steamed vegetable and pork dumplings. The table had two containers, both of which looked like soy sauce, but I knew one had soy and vinegar, yuck! So we had to find out the hard way as the labels were in Chinese.
The dumplings were really good, but more importantly CHEAP, a great find for such an expensive city. Total Bill = less than $20!
Since that day we have been back there enough times for the ladies to recognize us. We won't say how many times that is but will say - we will definitely be going back...soon!
