As soon as we stepped out of the airport, it hit us... Not the heat and humidity we were expecting, but sunny blue skies, with a calming cool breeze. We have never been here during "dry season" but the weather has been fabulous for the entire trip!!
Out hotel is in Nusa Dua, a secluded resort area of the island. It has been nice break from Kuta Beach - away from all the street hawkers and crazy drunken Aussies!
We have been reunited with our favorite Balinese dish, Balinese Sate. It is similar to the Thai and Malaysian Sate, but a little diffrent, and it always comes out on its own grill to keep the meat warm.
Of course we have had our share of seafood too - red snapper is on the menu everywhere so we have been getting whole fried fish with chili soy sauce, yum!
Tomorrow, we are off to Phuket, Thailand! We have such wonderful memories of this very special place and we are anxious to see how much it has changed in the last 8 years.
